Undergraduate Analyst Internship - Fall 2020

Description of the Role
Looking for real-world experience in private equity and entrepreneurship through acquisition? Curious about what makes a business enduringly profitable? Interested in leading a small business as CEO? If so, this internship is for you. Our interns work alongside an assigned Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) and the NGP Investment Team on prospective and current investment opportunities. You’ll receive training and hands-on experience with the different stages of the transaction lifecycle (sourcing, letter of intent, diligence, closing). As part of the internship, you will be given suggested readings and a required financial modeling online course to supplement and complement your work with the EIR.

At the guidance of your EIR, you will conduct extensive research and analysis to source deals that match investment criteria—an integral first step in the transaction lifecycle. Alongside your peers from top schools, you’ll interact with brokers, other intermediaries and have firsthand exposure to the due diligence and negotiation process. Being a program designed for learning, you’ll receive regular feedback from your EIR.

This is an incredible opportunity to learn more about—and be part of—entrepreneurship through acquisition and private equity investments. In addition to the NGP team, you’ll also be able to tap into our vast and notable network. Our former interns have gone on to prestigious banking, investment and consulting firms.
