Staff Accountant Rotational

Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant role involves various general ledger and project tasks that focus on positively impact our business forward while also creating an environment for accelerated learning and development. This role is a key contributor in the day-to-day and long terms strategic initiatives of the finance team. 
The Staff Accountant role participates in a rotational program (rotations are approximately 12-24 months in duration). Rotations typically move into cost accounting, finance planning/analysis teams and general operations.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Business analysis of operations to identify process improvements within the accounting team
  • General ledger accounting work as necessary (including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, monthly account analysis, etc.)
  • Oversight of outsourced multiple accountants and analysts in our shared service center
  • Reconciliation and explanation of plant and freight variances
  • Assisting in oversight of internal and external audits
  • Assisting in oversight of special projects and general process improvement
  • Other projects or duties as assigned
Position Requirements:Required Skills and Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with Accounting Minor
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to focus on details
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the company
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects at one time
  • Light travel as required
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Excel
  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
